The rodenticides are easily obtained in food markets. Superwarfarins be/ongs at this group and they act in similar manner as clinical anticoagulants but with a longer half lite and one hundred times stronger effects.
We reporta 24 years old fema/e who ingest Rodilon {difethialone), ten boxes of 50 g. with suicida/ purpose. The patient was refered from Psychiatric Hospital Ward with prothrombin time [PT) of 6%, INR 12. 4. She needed vitamin K 1 administration for a long period of months. The clinica/ manifestation were mild, bleeding gums and petechias at the begining. Had not know the history of intake, the poisoning would hove been suspected anyway given the prolonged prothrombin time in a patient with no tami/y history of b/eeding disorders and normal liver function test.
