The rationality of lntensive Care Unit (/CU) resources using is a matter of discussion because of the costs invo/ved. The aim of this article is to give a bioethical orientation about this issue. This orientation is founded on real data of the costs demanded by the /CU orea and the eventual increasing of this expenses in the future. Main theories about justice are reviewed regarding their influence through the resources distribution. Patient and patient's family needs are exposed, and /C
