Nonresolving or slowly resolving pneumonia zs an unknown syndrome that ocurre in aproximately 10% of Comunity-Acquiered hospitalized pneumonia. We show a clinic case of a patient with ftver and radioíogic infiltrates without resolution after 10 days of antibiotic treatment. The thoracoscopy biopsy showed Chronic Eosinophilic Pneumonia. The initial evaluation of nonresolving pneumonia include the differential diagnosis beetwen a slowly resolving pneumonia or progresive disease. Factors that can lead to a progressive or
nonresolving pneumonia need to be assessed. These factors inelude opportunistic infections, immunossupresion, neoplastic disease or non infectous disease.
