Abstract

Objective: To analyze the eventual potentiation between quinacrine, betametasone and Non Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSA/Ds) Material and Method: Transplantable tumor TA3 were grown in Aj male mice. 29 experimental groups with different therapeutical combination were assayed. Statistical significance of results was determined over survival period and the average size of the tumors. Results: Quinacrine in combination with betametasone plus a NSA/Ds, gets high rate of regressions in the model studied. Discussion: lndependently each of these agents doesn't get modification in the growth curve of the tumors. Double or triple combinations succeed in 50 to 70% complete regressions of TA3 tranplantable tumors. Mechanisms of action could be related to apoptosis of endothelial cells observed in capillaries on tumors.
