The painful shoulder syndrome is a very frequent cause of consultation for the profossional. Due to the diversity of pathologies that can produce pain in this regían, and that the clinic foatures are afien similar, we think that only one detailed clinical history and a tedious physical examination, will allow us to orient in the possible etiology of the problem, being to this fundamental to know the anatomic and functional elements of the joint and the study of psychopathologic concepts that are associated to the painful shoulder, besides to know very clearly the roll that fulfills the images and lead us to the accurately diagnosis.
