On the occasion of having resolved the case of a patient cholecystectomized two years earlier, of an intrathoracic,
subpleural gallstone, we present the following revision. In worldwide literature only 49 cases of complícations due to gallstones left in the peritoneal cavity, after laparoscopic cholecystectomy, have been reported. Probably the frequency of these complications is greater, nevertheless, the cases have not been reported.
