CLINICAL APPLICATION OF FLOW CYTOMETRY
The clinical utility of Flow Cytometry in the diagnosis, evolution and prognosi"s of different diseases are analyzed. A brief description of the apparatus and its operating principles is made. Its current use is explained, principally in the study of lymphocyte subpopulations in HIV / AIDS, and other immunodeficiencies, and the study ofleukemias. Finally a few of the current applications of Flow Cytometry which are in different stages of investigation and standarization are commented.
