The Neonathologic Service of the University of Chile Clinic Hospital has developed an informatic system that understands the clinic record from the moment in which the mother enters pre partum section until the expenditure of the newborn. This record carries in use three years. In her enter medical information physicians and matrons in a data base created with File Maker Pro and operated in Macintosh computers net.
The informatic record has several related data bases that permit to to accomplish complex calculations.
Furthermore there is in use data bases for parenteral nutrition, nutricional follow-up, dilutions composition, secretariat files, medical teaching and other, ali operated by medical staff, of medical collaboration, secretariat and medicine pupils.
The formats of the principal parts of the clinic computerized record are also shown.
