FALLS IN THE ELDERLY
Falls among the elderly, as a threshold leading to many serious complications, have become a very important public health problem in Chile, during the last decades.
Facing falls appears as a difficult task because of their multiple causes. Toe same occurs when trying to get a management.
The authors of this article expose four points of view and give sorne dues in order to understand the main aspects of fallers problem, the consequences of these accidents and the possibilities to treat them.
