Total Knee Arthroplasty has been perfo rmed in a series of 20cases, betweenjanuary 1992 and april 1993. The mean follow up has been 36 months (range 27 to 42 months).
Eighteen (90%) prosthesis were rated excelent in the last control. Total lcnee arthroplasty provides a substancial
improvenient in highty deteriorated knees, which catalogues this procedure as reliable and beneficia[, when it is
well indicated and correctly performed.
