The case of a 40 year old woman with an acute ischaemia in her left leg, secondary to chronic use of ergotamin is presented. This patient was first treated by surgical arterial exploration confirming arterial spam. She received systemic vasodilator drugs with a good outcome. Ergotism is an uncommon cause of acute ischaemia, and it may be precipitated by the simultaneous use of other drugs. Therefore, it is very important to require al/ information about drug use and abuse during patient`` s interview, in arder to avoid mistaken therapeutic conducts.
