Injuries of diaprhagm in 30 patients were reviewed in the pеriod from august 1987 to dugust 1999. there were 25 male patients (83,4%) and 5 female patients (16,6%). The mean age was 29 years old (range 8 to 65 years old) 67% were penetrating injuries, 30% were not penetrating and 3% were iatrogenic. In the 90% the left hemithorax was compromised and 10% the rigth hemithorac. Diagnosis was suspected clinically and the hasis at a shest radiegraphs magnetic resonance, barium enema, computed tomographу, пеиторeritoneum, and video thoracoscopy in 3 patients, 63% of the patients went surgery in the first 36 hours and the surgical was laparotomy. The mortality was 3,4%.
